Test Takers
Create your testing Environment

When taking the test, do not try to do anything outside the test. Follow these rules:
- Do not change the volume adjustment
- Do not go outside the test window
- Do not open any other programs
If you break the rules, your test will close automatically. You will not be able to take the test again until you contact your administrator. A new test must be scheduled.

Take a practice test
Taking the practice test is fairly intuitive. Just follow the instructions. But just in case, here are the steps.

Go to the Home page at http://www.CAEtest.com then download the Test Deliverer by clicking the Practice Test link.

Click Trust to download the test application from https://dataservices.lidgetgreen.org

Click Login in the Authenticate window.

Click to highlight the test you want to take in the Select A Test window. If you have a reading and a listening test scheduled you should take both a reading and a listening practice test.

Click Go.

In the Attention, Test Information window, click on the Play button. You will hear She sat reading. Please take this time to make sure your speakers are turned on and that the volume is adjusted properly for clear listening. You may play that audio as many times as you need to in order to set the volume adjustment properly. You may not adjust the volume after you begin the test.

After you begin the Test, do not try to leave the test before it is finished. If you do, the test will automatically stop and your test will be submitted incomplete.

Click Begin Test when you are ready.

The test may take up to a minute to load, depending on your internet connection.

Use the navigation controls to move through the test.

After completing the practice test you may either go on to your scheduled test, or repeat the practice test until you feel ready to take your scheduled test.

Take your scheduled test

Go to the Home page at http://www.CAEtest.com then download the Test Deliverer by clicking the Take Your Test link.

Click Trust to download the test application from https://dataservices.lidgetgreen.org

Click Login in the Authenticate window.

Join for Your Group

Go to the Home page at http://www.CAEtest.com then click on the Join your group link.

Enter your signup id which your institute has provided for you.

Click Submit.

Fill out the form to join your group.

Press Join Now

The screen will indicate that you have joined your group.

A confirmation email will be sent to you with the username (or you can enter your student ID) and password your created.

Retrieve your confirmation email and keep your password safe.

You will be notified when a test has been scheduled for you.

Administrators
Installing the Application
If the application isn't installed yet go to the Home page at http://www.CAEtest.com and download the Test Administrator by clicking the Launch Administrator link.
When the installation starts, choose a location to create a Short-Cut for the Test Administrator.
- Enter your username
- Enter your password
- Click login
This takes you to the Main Administration section of the application. This is the home page with all the administrative functions shown at the top as buttons. Click on any button to access that function.
- Manage Test Takers allows you to add and delete test takers.
- Schedule Tests allows you to sechedule test takers for tests.
- Get Scores allows you to see the automatically generated scores.
- Score Writing Tests allows you to access the writing samples for scoring.
- Sign-up ID's allows you to create a sign-up page for all your test-takers to sign into with a universal username and password and then create their own individual username and password.
- Sub-Admins allows you to create accounts for mangers, administrators and raters within your institutional system. These sub account users have limited privileges.
- Logout allows you to log out of the system.

Managing Test Takers
To Add a Test Taker

Enter their first and last names

Enter their email
-
Click the Add button
The test-taker will be added to the table. Their username and password will be created automatically if so chosen.
To Remove a Test Taker

Highlight the test taker in the table

Click Delete
The test taker is deleted from the table.
To Edit a Test Taker

Highlight the test taker in the table
- Click Edit then make the changes.
Press Submit to save edits.

Schedule a Test
A schedule can be created with only one test taker and one test, or with multiple test takers and multiple tests.

Select the test(s) you want to schedule by highlighting the test(s) in the Assessments Available table.

Select the test taker(s) you want to schedule by highlighting the test taker(s) in the Test Takers Available table.

Select the Date Schedule Starts by clicking on the calendar (on the right-hand side of the Date Schedule Starts box) and selecting the correct date. The test becomes available on that date (in precise terms) immediately after midnight, Eastern Standard Time - USA.

Select the Date Schedule Ends by clicking on the calendar (on the right-hand side of the Date Schedule Ends box) and selecting the correct date. The test becomes available on that date (in precise terms) immediately after midnight, Eastern Standard Time - USA.

Click the Create Schedule button. The schedule is created and added to the list of Current Schedules.
To Select Multiple Rows in a Table
On a Windows machine:
To select continuous multiple entries, highlight the first row that you want to highlight, then press Shift while selecting the last row you wish to highlight. All the rows between the first and last are highlighted.
To select non-continuous multiple entries, hold down the Control key, and click on each entry you want to highlight.
On a Macintosh machine:
To select continuous multiple entries is the same as on a Windows machine, namely, highlight the first row you want to highlight in the list, then press Shift while selecting the last row you want to highlight in the list. All the rows between the first and last are highlighted.
To select non-continuous multiple entries, hold down the Apple key, and click on each entry you want to highlight.

Get Scores
This page gives a table with the list of test takers who have taken tests, what test they took, and their score. Along with their scores, there is a short description of their score band. All of the rows in this spread sheet can be sorted by clicking on the headers.
Printing Results
- Select the Print Button to print the current content of the table.
Understanding the Scale

View Schedules
This page gives a table with a list of active, non-expired, schedules for your group. Select the schedule from the list then click View info (from the bottom of the window) to see the Test-Takers, Tests, Start date and End date.

IT Technicians
Our Applications run on the Java Runtime Environment, Version 1.5 (5.0) or higher. Regardless, the most current J.R.E. release is recommended for best performance.
All Proxy Servers should be configured to allow the Test Deliverer and the Test Administrator to communicate on port 80 for HTTP protocol and port 443 for HTTPS protocol, i.e. https://dataservices.lidgetgreen.org
